Damn! Started her up and rode to work on her. Oil spewed all over the carb, battery cover, bottom edge of seat, frame, right shock. I tried to be as carefull as I could putting it back together. I cut a corner by using the old seal and re-sealing it with he-temp liqid gasket. Looks like a big mistake. I called a couple of local shops around LAX and found one with a new seal in stock. It is differently designed than the old one. Maybe it's an improved product. Anyway, just hope I make it home without total oil loss. I added a bit here at work as extra insurance. I work in an office and everyone gets a kick out of the biker with a quart of oil and a couple of rags on his desk. Well, I'll be at it again on Saturday. I'm gettin kinda tired of seeing the inside of my Savage engine. Ride safe all.
